A summary of our book chapter: Technology makes it easier

Advantages include tailoring content, multi-place multi-time accessibility, and adaptability to diverse learning styles.

2. Technology Integration and Challenges:

• Technology integration is a dynamic process involving design, implementation, and evaluation.

• Design focuses on learning objectives, content, assessment, and media selection.

• Implementation considerations include accessibility, training, backup strategies, and avoiding overdependence on technology.

• Evaluation involves measuring the impact on learning objectives and assessing each stage of integration.

3. Types of Technology:

• Technologies are categorized into web-based, application-based, and instrument-based.

• Web-based technologies include Learning Management Systems (LMS), Google components, tools for assessment and engagement, video conferencing tools, and add-ons.

• Application-based technologies cover assessment and engagement tools like Kahoot, Top Hat, Quizlet, and communication tools such as GroupMe and Band.

• Instrument-based technology, exemplified by Iclicker, is used for class participation monitoring.
